Hmm, there are only a few of them I watch over and over again, Bram Stoker's Dracula, The Shining, Alien, Silence of the Lambs...
In general I like stories involving voodoo, occult rituals and black magic. I think the first season of True Detective had a dark southern gothic atmosphere. And then the last season from Alaska was also awesome. But it was more of thriller than horror, however still pretty harsh.

Right now I'm reading Rekulak's Hidden Pictures and I must say I'm pretty much absorbed by the book. It's so well written that I cannot put it aside. All of the pictures are also included in the book and some of them are... well..., disturbing.
