I'm interested in a planetary level -- shared, immutable layer of truth that even AGI/ASI will have to acknowledge because: How else are we going to monitor and holding both ourselves and our continued advanced intelligences to be accountable to our own human-defined, and eventual machine standards of truth and ethics?

And "truth" in this case, I imagine a sort of "Popperian Truth" -- where 'truths' can only be tested and potentially falsified. Truth, in this sense, is provisional and contingent on surviving attempts at falsification. And as I think of a verified truth layer, as an for an objective adjudicator to exist. Provide a shared reality layer where individual claims can be verified or falsified -- meaning you don't proclaim that there is an ultimate arbiter of abstract "Truth" with a capital T. Rather, it’s like a ref that referees sports, or something or rather

In many ways, individually and personally - our reality is often experienced through who we are, our culture, our language, our family, our upbringing and so on - in a subjective manner. And the verified reality layer should respect that -- all it does, it would provide a means of aligning subjective experiences with an objectively verifiable framework - proving your subjective reality to all

But if you sum up all these subjective truths, I still think that truth emerges from this sort of beautiful shared consensus - in other words our experiences have truths that we all share, or are surprisingly similar. And in this surprising collective agreement - the layer can facilitate naturally helping the truths (that we share) emerge organically -- by providing an objective adjudicator for these shared individual claims over a long period of time I don't think much of this is new, it's happening, already, on social media, in the news, in person. But we're really going to need a framework that is more robust, and available in a machine readable form for the coming age of human / AI co-existence
