One of my pandemic hobbies during the pandemic was looking into / doing mathematics, or learning esoteric maths topics, or topics I didn’t have time to do a deep dive on before (or hadn’t done in a long time) Kinda miss it - or at least the luxury of having that time

Boredom fuels creativity. It compels humans to unconsciously dive into special interests igniting creativity. We lost countless humans to COVID but we also witnessed a burst of creative work born from idle time and some financial safeguards It’s weird we snapped back into old habits so quickly

I fell down the rabbit hole of watching 3Blue1Brown (and developing a bro crush on Grant along the way) as well as Numberphile videos during the WFH days of the pandemic. I still watch them when I want to relax. We’re lucky to be living at a point of history where such quality content is easily available for free

Ohh you had some good hobbies. Mine was just sitting on a empty beach just staring at sea reading mostly dostevsky. Kinda miss that existential angst.
