I think good taste is also acquired by building your own sense of aesthetics. What I mean by that is this idea that you need to have a build a highly sensitive radar for what you like and what you don’t like. Something that is much easier to say than it is to do, yeah.

Let's just replace it with "own" and then I agree with you. Good taste doesn't mean much to me (and I tend to see it as a trap), but having your own taste, that's crazy powerful.

Yeah I tend to care less about other people’s case. I don’t think there is anything remotely close to good taste that is objective. I guess I find it inherently subjective. I think there is no taste that isn’t your own Long story short; I agree with you

I don't think taste is objective, but it isn't entirely subjective, either. It's intersubjective. A bit of both. It doesn't exist except in shared human minds. Thus it's possible to "improve" your taste: your subjective aesthetics align more closely with others, particularly those whose taste you admire.
