I like having limited choices - it makes me feel like I’m in control of my choices. Allows me to evaluate my options Its like diners in nyc - why is there an entire page dedicated to omlettes, how can one ever feel like they could make any sort of informed decision? Limited choices makes me feel better

Limited choices, let’s keep going with this restaurant metaphor makes me feel like things have been thought through for me, as if the creator had some say in making informed, thoughtful and researched opinions and interpretations- and I appreciate it That’s why i like the idea of being presented with a prix fixe

TLDR: being presented with limited choices is a luxury when there is abundance - curated experience is a winner in the age of abundance

Every choice implies giving up an alternative, so we need help in choosing, but we must feel that the choice is ours. If a choice is forced, we will not feel we are in charge of it.

I’ll go one step further. Assuming we have no free will, and everything’s predetermined, we’re still somehow expected to anguish over difficult choices, no matter how illusory they are. So please, deterministic universe, just hand over my life’s script already and stop with the sadistic mind games
