Not caring what others think of what you do is different from being insensitive to others It’s like the difference between eating what you want to eat regardless of norms or whatever versus forcing everyone to eat blue cheese because you’re super into blue cheese (i am but is everyone?)

Very true. And on the blue cheese subject, I quite like it, especially on a buffalo burger. :)

Lots of people us the not caring what people think about you argument as justification for antisocial or unhealthy behaviour, I'm trying to think of social or personal situations where this statement can be used positively but I'm struggling, except for situations in which someone else's opinion of your actions is of greater negative impact than your own.

true but how do you find the balance between staying true to yourself and considering the needs or preferences of others around you?

Makes sense, fr Another one people need to know is that being ‘proud’ is different from being ‘arrogant’ One can have confidence and be sure of themselves/never let anyone downplay them vs putting/shoving their success or abilities in other people’s faces Accurate?..

It’s like walking your own path but making sure you’re not stepping on anyone’s toes. You can love what you love without forcing others to feel the same way. Do you think it’s possible to be totally unapologetic and still considerate at the same time?

Sorry but everyone is forced to eat the blue cheese! Especially on a cracker with a little fig jelly and maybe a sliced banana pepper or 2 😆🤤

But what about the expression - don’t pay attention to other people’s opinions, since it’s not yours, but someone else’s? And yet the influence of others destroys the stereotypes and vision of a person! Do you agree?

I totally agree! There's a big difference between expressing yourself and forcing it on others. Respecting everyone's preferences is what makes life truly awesome
