most of those technologies on the curves are general, and the early iterations did not survive into the longest part of it – ARPANET beget the successors NSI, CSNET and NSFNET which kicked off the federal internet exchanges, and then finally broader commercial entry and innovation which became the Internet as we know it today. Parallel analogues would place Bitcoin into ARPANET, Ethereum into NSFNET, which means something far larger is coming...

taking the analogy further, an argument could be made that the current state of Ethereum is closer to NSI, being the interconnect between SPAN and NSN, sort of like the L1 to the L2s, and perhaps NSFNET is more like Solana, trying its own thing but still connected in its own ways
