Do you have personal experience with this? Like your Picasso analogy. If someone you loved was driven to suicide because of someone similar to Picasso circumstances, I’m guessing it would be harder to be objective.

Let me take it one step further. That person you love is surrounded by tweets and op-eds saying objectively the two are separate and then putting out glowing reviews of the art. I do my best to not separate. I think it’s a noble effort. So many victims stay silent because it feels like people don’t care
