Solar becoming cheaper, capacity going up combined with batteries becoming cheaper and energy density going up - we’re trending towards unlocking new futures that were previously inaccessible - an interesting time for sure

I was just reading about it this past week - The Economist also published a very bullish series of articles on the exponential growth in solar power generation and how cheap and abundant energy will transform the world. If we can get energy costs to be negligible, and with no meaningful externalities like we have with GHG, we’ll finally be nearer to a Kardashev type 1 civilization https://www.economist.com/leaders/2024/06/20/the-exponential-growth-of-solar-power-will-change-the-world

They are also making huge breakthroughs in materials discovery in the panel for capturing light and converting/ storing the energy. I have been reading up on this and it is exciting.

Drove by a giant solar farm outside of Las Vegas, near the Hoover Dam. Hoping solar will be an efficient energy source to stay.

It's been difficult until now to generate electricity using only solar power. It will be interesting to see if a vehicle powered solely by solar power can be commercialized in the near future.
