When you try to package deeply personal philosophies and authentic experiences you have lived, or desire to live into neat LinkedIn bullet points and/or values -- something, i don't know what it is, something - gets lost. It's like trying to explain why a joke is funny, it's not funny anymore

Hello @july 🖖 you are working on a problem I’ve pondered for a while. Long before ai, ever since photoshop came out with “context-aware fill”, it was the first of many death-knells for the boundary between real v fake thought it would cause a surge in analog… but this /faust -ian way looks way cooler

yeah there a few paths it seems: A) go back to analog, everything is fake on the internet forever, so we should all just go back to being as analog as possible B) live in anxiety about not knowing whether things are real or not regardless of their veracity C) move forward -- everything is real, nothing is fake - AI generated is real, Real images are real - we just can't tell the difference between the two and that is the problem, so let's solve that
