It feels like batteries are getting closer to a breakout, Wh/kg estimates each year recently keeps getting beat, we’re at 500 Wh/kg now, by mid 2030s we might reach 1000 Wh/kg,

continued increase in battery energy density + cost reduction means: - cars: more EV range, faster charging, lighter vehicles - bigger cars: longer range electric buses, first light trucks - grid storage: improves peak shaving - heavier trucks: eventually all trucks - all trains & ships - anything that flies = electric
