Oh man; during Covid, everyone in SF was on lockdown and people started tuning into City Hall meetings for fun and it really created a mess because everyone wanted to have a say and nothing would pass

Participation was just endless oral ping-pong? Or actual voting? One “painful” (by today’s standard of what qualifies as pain) aspect of democracy is that it requires formatting, counterintuitively, especially on forging an ability to listen. A pity to see how the term has been perverted to mean a different reality.
