In a digital world where bots and generative AI continues to grow, it becomes flooded with digital objects that you don't know if they are real or fiction. You start to get lost in an ocean of information. I think that outlook and orientation in your digital world gets all fuzzy, because you lose you can't reference yourself against anything. I think this is why people say you need to go touch grass, sometimes its because we need to orient ourselves again properly, and figure out where we are in space. Unfortunately, I think this is just going to get worse

I think it was a week ago or so, that @keccers.eth mentioned that she was going insane or something along those lines (just paraphrasing here) and i thought about how the conditions for feeling like going crazy is losing grasp on reality. I feel it in the air as well, and for people that are perennially online, I think it is the same. Makes me think about how there's gotta be better ways to be online, instead of just saying misinformation and deepfakes and the internet is screwed and we should just give up and all go home

The bots are kind of comforting. SOMETHING will always be there to talk to me. I can play with them. I don't know. You're on to something, though. I truly have very little of an IRL life, and maybe that's the crazy-making part unto itself.

How much of these changes do you believe could only happen with drastic hardware and energy changes?
