Controversial: trump's impact on crypto will backfire. He may be "deregulating" but he's also tarnishing the "crypto" brand even more and, in the end, new regulation will be written/approved by people who *hate* crypto even more.

I think there is an element of this that is true. But, if stablecoin bill passes removing barriers to market adoption, and anti-crypto bank regulations are removed, after four years it will be hard for even crypto haters to slow its momentum.

Not controversial at all. Great take in fact. If we could get out of our own bubble and listen to actual news sources they are all over Trumps massive crypto grift. This will be a massive story and really be bad for crypto.

Even some trump-crypto people are acknowledging it. But they think that it's better to have 4y of Trump then backlash rather than whatever was going to happen under a Harris presidency. Harris and dems did not play that one well.

It will backfire on the shitty / scammy side of crypto yeah. but the upside from innovative side will outshine the shitty side of crypto, thanks to trumps policies on crypto. -- stablecoins -- x402 -- Farcaster -- fintechs using crypto
