and my favorite summer song ever
this is a song that is also a poem, a novel, a painting, a movie; a long form story
see, this is a song about a beat-up past-its-prime boardwalk carnival arcade town, inhabited by greasers, carnys, bikers, fortunetellers and bored cops
and kids
they can taste their future, they can see it in the horizon; yet are hesitant to leave the romance and sand and beer of the beach town in the summer
it's a love song
"Love me tonight for I may never see you again
Love me tonight and I promise I’ll love you forever"
[in a few weeks, I am seeing this very band play on this very beach in this very town]
