"Transference of Thoughts" (1885)

Figure from a 19th-century scientific journal. Documents a "thought transmission" experiment by Charles Richet.

For each numbered pair of drawings, one person drew, and then a second person tried to copy it without having seen it.

I love this so much,  I'm curious how they were scored,  there are some big misses but also some with interesting similarities 🤔

Yes! I wondered the same. Maybe some people cheated and others didn’t 😆 Or, maybe there objects in the room that subconsciously influenced them? Who knows
