Within two days of Brazil's X ban, Bluesky gained 500,000 users, with many also joining Mastodon and Threads. People often migrate to these (relatively) decentralized platforms to escape X, but this time, it wasn’t X pushing them away, they couldn’t use it. Lots of barriers but a few quickly spun-up but well-managed channels * could also be good enough for large groups to quickly get accustomed and step by step integrated with other communities here πŸ™‚ * maybe even a standard client/app for communities that need a new home quickly
