imo higher is a much more widely appealing meme than a dog with a hat and colors are a much more widely appealing art than mutant apes. no offense to mutant apes or dogs with hats.

I think you're right long-term but a generalistic, cultural meme is harder to market initially. For instance, Higher is distinct but offers more surface to build on. However, it's so far easier to associate with 1 specific cat/dog because we don't manage to distribute the "on-brand" community content well. 1️⃣ Some content isn't on brand 2️⃣ Most content doesn't get distribution 3️⃣ Content on brand getting distributed isn't associated with Higher Hence, it requires not just good creators but also a community effort to DISTRIBUTE & CONNECT Higher content with more people, the Higher community, the Higher culture and Higher Token.
