Great post to see why we need web 3, open finance & a new, permissionless socmedia.  

I’d only add that crypto finance & the new socmedia isn’t competitive at prices for many communities yet (aside additional UX barriers) and most adopted FC clients may use unknown algos - but optionality is there!

Fair! Although creating a channel here is already quite competitively priced. You get your own shill space for about 25 bucks, that‘s a pretty good deal!

Endusers need to pay first on Farcaster. That’s a differentiator.

The channel fee isn’t a huge barrier when your users are already here but it’s also more expensive than quickly setting up a chat on Telegram (Discord) for free.

I think freemium is smart. Set up quick & free and (host can) pay for premium tools.
