What do you guys think about these allowance posts & tipping back tippers? For me, this is tip4tip farming. https://warpcast.com/meguce/0xe68a3e18

this one in particular looks fine - the content of the frame itself provides additional context for the stated question. (it is kind of a "degen thirst trap" - not great, but also you have to give people benefit of the doubt)

Agree that the given context explains why post the frame. (I picked one of @meguce posts because he's very active and not just focused on farming) Aside that, the activity under this and similar posts (often with no context) is similar: Someone tips and gets a tip back. (Often normal, real replies below these posts are ignored) I'm sure if there was a rule "Don't directly tip back" - people would circumvent this by posting such a pic, getting a tip, and tipping back under another post. While I think it's very bad for a channel like /degen to see so many posts with the same frame, and mostly replies farming, I wouldn't want to "police" what people post (except in my own channel because only clean channel is a valuable channel). Hence, should there be a general rule against tipping back & forth among 2 accounts?

There are people here who have supported me from the very beginning. They support me even though I am not able to make a very active contribution here at the moment. And I cannot ignore that. In previous seasons, I had a lot of interaction with accounts that other people didn't interact with much when they didn't have PB or if they had PB. And it's only natural that when they get an allowance, they tipped it to me. So sometimes looking doesn't mean seeing. It's pretty clear that it's not in my interest to hurt Degen. Still, if it bothers you, I'll be more careful.

Thanks for the constructive answer πŸ‘ I don't intend to call you out but rather open a general discussion what to do with the tipping schemes you named in your cast. I believe 1️⃣ tipping should be intentional where you appreciate & reward someone for their content on Farcaster (cast or reply) 2️⃣ I don't think it's good if we tip back tippers (I did that / got that too) Of the mentioned tipping schemes 🎩"tip4tip" is never really value-adding (sometimes maybe fun) 🎩 "Subscribe4Tip" is essentially circumventing the tracking of "tip4tip" 🎩 "Mint4Tip" can be meaninful but it depends on what people mint & usually I'd advocate to rather use real $degen for that (see 1) 🎩 "Engage4Tip" depends again on what people do. A good reply is worth a tip. Many low-effort engagements should not get tipped though https://warpcast.com/meguce/0x5a72a4b9

We have to see that there are very thinly drawn boundaries and experiences. Some people think that I am tip4tip and they tip me. But they don't get a return. Because they don't normally interact with me. Even though I have 16k followers here, I know the ones who are active here and who are in contact with me. In the same way, sometimes I also tip people whose answers are spammed. Do you know why? Because I was there 4 months ago. And nobody cared about me. And I can't forget the friendships that were made with me that day. And if those people hadn't done that to me, I wouldn't have any hope of staying here.
