Blockchain gaming assets will prove to be the first killer use case for NFTs It will bring a sustainable volume of transactions to many blockchains and protocols The following 12 months will be massive for blockchain-enabled gaming thoughts?

would love to see some “skins composability” blocks. My avatar NFT can play CS and the skills I got there use them to buy stuff on Fornite

Bullish on gaming as an on-ramp. The stat on percentage of youth who game is wild! I’m also bullish on gaming being the playground for use cases in more traditional consumer segments. E.g. Fortnite and digital fashion / skins. Time scale always hard to pick. Only takes one hit to change the game (pun not intended)

For blockchain games - I think we need to find some good use cases to make it more fun. Right now the major complains by veterans in the industry is that the economy has killed the fun.

Completely agree. AAA games being built right now on chain and will onboard users as Axie and Stepn did. Teams get better funding for BG. Good UI UX needed to sort, search, categorize millions of NFTs for each game. Mostly we faced 10k collections, not WOW or diablo3 auction house.

Disagree. Sustainable-volume vs. first killer use-case vs. 12-months vs. many. “Brain guess-ta-math”, tells me, market size not there within this time frame, for many layers of tech (chains/protocols), to prove use-case, for sustainable-vol. But if I look at my PMF cast I wouldn’t trust myself either.

Yes, agreed. Many web3 games are in build phase now and will be launching in the next 12 months that will drive decent volume.

Think it will mostly be Web2 gaming studios that build more of the same games that work, while NFTs will just exist in the background without most players realising they're on-chain

I think we’ll see forced adoption from the hypercasual gaming industry because Google, Meta and Apple nuked their ad revenue.

I think yes it will be great for blockchains and protocols, but that is a bit backwards thinking. Does it really improve the experience for gamers that much?

If you do a MMORPG like World of Warcraft where the gold is the token, it will probably just get farmed to death by bots Show me a game with a sustainable token model, and not ponzi mechanics (eg. Axie/Stepn) where users just lose out over time

Blockchain games are boring. Sorry not sorry. Their economy drains the fun. Not sure if i see that changing in 12 months.
