Hm I’m a city guy but here’s some loved spots:

- Kamakura for a beach town vibe.
- Karuizawa, Japan’s Whistler, BC. Lot of wealthy peeps have vacation homes here for skiing and relaxing.
- Izu coast, take the Sapphir Odoriku and stay in some resorts on the coast line down thru Shizuoka.
- Okinawa
- Fukuoka, another city but it’s got charm and hakata ramen
