⚠️ automod will have maintenance May 23rd, 8am-10am pst to migrate to the new channels changes. - All settings will be migrated, except a couple rules. - All current channel cohosts will be added as moderators, they can curate or hide casts. - Some channels will need special setup, I will provide instructions.

"What settings couldn't be migrated?" Reply moderation is no longer possible. Any reply rules will be marked as disabled and have no effect. "Hide & Warn": Warn no longer supported; migrated to "Hide". "Mute": Migrated to "Ban" since automod manages bans now. "Boost": Removed as Trending is gone.

"No more boosts?" Boosting only made sense to push a cast into Trending. Now Trending is replaced with Main. "How will casts show up in Main if there's no Boosting then?" Anything that is not filtered out by your rule set will show up in Main. Which is why Boost isn't needed–its the default.

if the only casts that make it to main are ones that are liked by the moderator, does this mean all casts will be autoliked by automod unless explicitly told not to with a rule?

Yes, correct. You are configuring rules to catch bad casts. The rest are autoliked and therefore show up in “Main”. Why filter bad casts? For automatic moderation, it’s more common to know what you don’t want (e.g. hate speech) than what you do. Have ideas to improve and remove awkward double negatives.

i guess for my relatively small channel, i don't mind some manual curation before, i had 2 rules: hide known spam and boost nft holders i was confident wouldn't be spam. then i would curate the rest. this worked well to cut out spam and also keep the feed dynamic and not dependent on my waking hours ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

yeah, its more binary compared to Trending / Recent of before. You could make Main = Token Holders, No known spam, then add good casters to bypass and manual curation. You can do both the latter with cast actions direct in feed. https://automod.sh/install/like https://automod.sh/install/addToBypass

ah thx! i already have all the actions installed but i wasn't sure what would happen if i set main to exclude all non token holders and then tried to curate a non token holder into main so the curate action will override the rule for the cast? if i use sweep later on, will it remove the likes that the action applied?

> so the curate action will override the rule for the cast? Yep. > if i use sweep later on, will it remove the likes that the action applied? No, it will not remove likes during a sweep. Good distinction. Was just working through design for this.

ok cool! i'll try it out with something like this config and see how it goes ^-^ one last question. if i use the ban action, where do those users go if i ever need to unban them? i don't need to unban anyone yet but i was just curious bc i don't see a place in automod for where i sent the serial spammers

> where do banned users go, how to undo? I'll be adding a dedicated place for it. For now you can do it in the moderation log using the context menu (right side, three dots).

does the hide action no longer work? i assumed that using it would unlike false positives but i just tested it on an old spam cast that automod liked and it didn't do anything ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
