it’s obvious that using my phone is directly correlated to regretted life minutes. i really need to think about this more seriously.

i graduated doom scrolling a couple years ago, but with warpcast for example i often chronically tap the notification bubbles. respond to stuff. if i have any boring moment i feel a need to grab my phone. if the feed is dull i refresh it. if i have no notifications i click it again, and so on. does it serve me? right now, ya. on balance? hard to say, i can only compare it against what i could hypothetically be if i wasn't in a dopamine feedback loop with socials–maybe i'd write something long and thoughtful and so on. at the least i'm confident my information diet is way out of wack the last 7mo. social should not be 80%.
