Just saw an old clip of Steve Jobs talking about why streaming music doesn't make sense for consumers. I wonder what percentage of people actually listen to enough new music to justify the annual cost of streaming?

Im defintely listening to more than 2 new albums per month. That alone makes it cheaper compared to buying CDs.

I have a feeling most people are in that camp, it would be interesting to see the data. I definitely go months sometimes without adding anything to my regular rotation though. It just kind of made me stop for a second and go wait...am I paying a subscription to listen to the same music over and over again? lol

I've had that experience before, but nowadays, I consistently find there's enough attraction to bring me back to Spotify. The extensive back catalog is prob the most significant selling points. I wish Spotify allowed us to see the % of our total listening time dedicated to new vs old music.
