Hard to say it but I’m going to anyway Ambition kills happiness. If you’re going to work your ass off, you must be happy so that you can continue to do it for a long enough timeframe. How many times have you hit a monthly income number, and then said: “When I hit X/month, I’ll be in a good place.” I see this happen so often and that’s what causes burnout. Work on things you care about with people you care about, you’ll go further.

I don't think ambition kills happiness. It can if you're not excited about what you're working on and who you're working on it with. You gotta care more about it than the next person and that's what separates people. Call that ambition or drive but I think it's essential.
