If your parents are still alive, call them and tell them you love them. I really miss my parents, and here I am, a grown man who is looking at pictures of them at midnight, crying. I have no shame in it, because they raised me right. Looking for flights first thing in the morning. Do it. Call them. Tell them.

No amount of effort will override the identity you’re operating from. You can’t outwork your identity. It doesn’t matter how hard you try. If your actions aren’t aligning with your identity, you’ll always feel stuck. Stop Doing. Start Being. That’s where the power is.

Kids have the best game. They literally walk up to each other and say: “Hey, do you want to play basketball with me?” And then go off and play together for hours. Treat the founder life like this. Be fearless in approaching people.

Hard to say it but I’m going to anyway Ambition kills happiness. If you’re going to work your ass off, you must be happy so that you can continue to do it for a long enough timeframe. How many times have you hit a monthly income number, and then said: “When I hit X/month, I’ll be in a good place.” I see this happen so often and that’s what causes burnout. Work on things you care about with people you care about, you’ll go further.

Many years ago, I created this concept that I wanted to build on but didn’t have the know how. My project was called MetaHeadz I drew all the art myself and being a dev, I wanted to bring this world to life but didn’t have the expertise. Anyone here want to hack on something together and bring this vision to life? DM me if you’re interested in talking it through

A life lived correctly is brutally difficult by default; not because life itself is hard, but because growth requires putting yourself in uncomfortable situations and learning what you don’t know. If you want to live well, pursue friction; so one day your life becomes frictionless.

The new monetization features here are incredible. I’m curious, what does the community think we can add to make monetization more community and audience driven? Ads are one thing and they’re coming (most likely), but brainstorm with me here, what can we do here that will take Warpcast and Farcaster to the next level of Social Media stardom?

I’m officially addicted to @warpcast No social platform has ever amplified my voice the way it’s happened here, and there’s a ton of great people building and adding to the conversation. 10/10 recommend

Talked to a Staff Engineer today right after I posted this. His advice, among a lot of other great advice, was to call it a day and figure it out on Monday. Thanks Staff Eng., I really needed you today 💙

38 files changed. All tests are updated and work in all of them EXCEPT 1. Mocking GraphQL is such a pain in the ass, because even when it matches, it doesn't 😉

Been recently thinking about this a lot and I realized something about the best founders I've come across, and that is that they all have a SUPERIORITY COMPLEX. Before I get hung in public about this, let me explain. The best founders don't think that their shit doesn't stink, quite the contrary. They know their shortcomings and they know they're not perfect. When I say they have a superiority complex, they strongly believe that there is NO ONE that can execute and build their product better than they can; that their vision is so crystal clear that it's impossible not to execute well. Because of this trait, they can sell better to customers, they can sell better to VCs, and they can sell better to their audience. What do you think? Anything you would add or disagree on? I'm all ears.
