A lot of the e/acc AI commentary I see on my x timeline tends to focus on questioning the legitimacy or motivations of their opponents (e.g. a lot of commentary like below screenshot). This seems like something that is satisfying & viral within the core tribe, but unlikely to actually persuade anyone of their views. Most people even within informed tech circles do not have a death-grudge against anything associated with EA nor do they care about who funded a cute video. Feels like a wasted opportunity.

The worst thing the internet has done is enable every variety of conspiracy theorist find a community to feed their paranoia.

looks like we're back to seeing extreme views spreading again. It’s all about stirring up and rallying the like-minded, fueling even more stubbornness against differing opinions. It's exactly what governments used to push, and now it's popping up in all sorts of groups

Kurzgesagt have been accused for being funded by the rich for a while, anything they upload is sus for some people. I dont get the hate, it's a entertaining channel that that ive watched for years. Good thing they get funds for quality content.
