@iamDCinvestor the EF uses Ethereum all the time, for instance to (1) swap ETH for stables (usually @CoWSwap) and (2) to pay people (grantees, team members) in stables and ETH, on mainnet and L2s. Events we run (like Devcon and Devconnect) take onchain payments and use onchain ID for tickets.

of course, but this was uber tone deaf with some added missed sarcasm. i was always of the opinion that people were just complaining bc of price, but this actually convinced me that eth needs better comms. no offense btw we all have our strengths and weaknesses

I think it is not bad to fund the development of Ethereum.
But you know that the price of ETH performs bad so people need someone to blame.
