Haha it’s a lot of fun. And a great way to blow $20 in 20 seconds. I’m not an experienced full auto shooter… probably only had my hands on FA stuff 4 or 5 times in my life. But one of those times was a week before this and… it feels pretty darn similar. Fortunately I’m not cross eye dominant… that’s an irritating thing to deal with though. When I shoot lefty it’s icing on the difficulty cake.

Calling all /3dprinting parents—what’s the one thing you made for your baby/toddler that they absolutely loved? I’m looking for ideas (and maybe your STL file 👀).

Fascinating; makes some sense. I’ve shot into snow at times but never really had a hard layer of ice form on berms.

Low-visibility practice? That fog/smoke/?? is intense.

New toy works quite nicely. Built out an entire new lower just to be a Super Safety host.

I should be a little more specific: I’m only really aware of colleges in the US. I’d bet that both India and China have some colleges that offer network engineering as a focus.

We just started allowing our 22 month old watch about 10 minutes a week. Other than that, it’s limited to Bear in the Big Blue House during nail trimming time as a distraction. At 2 we’ll probably step it up to allowing shorts 2 times per week. There’s no one specific right answer of course.

I can only think of one college that has an actual program focused on Network Engineering (UC Boulder). I know of a couple others that claim to, but churn out graduates who -may- understand STP if they’re lucky. It’s just not a focus in education.

To resurrect this from the dead, if you’re still looking, take a look at both the Angstadt MDP-9 and the CMMG Dissent. Both use delayed blowback mechanisms similar to the MP5 resulting in reportedly very smooth action. If you’re not still looking, what way did you go?

Hey @siadude . Figured I’d fill in a couple gaps on current status of legality. In the US, modern military grade -firearms- are illegal for civilian ownership. The National Firearms Act requires the registration of many types of weapons. A bill in 1986 signed by Ronald Reagan called the Hughes Amendment closed the registry for automatic and select fire weapons, so some are available but they must have been registered by 1986, the transfer registered and $200 tax stamp purchased, and the low end trash assault rifles start around $10,000. On the other hand, if you can find somebody willing to sell to you, you can legally obtain grenade launchers or such that are modern, but will need to go through the process and that $200 tax. Just, very few people do. Also, these guys in the photo larping are sad.

“deDrop” App, published on IPFS, that builds airdrop claim function payloads for airdrops where the official app maintainers block geographies and VPNs due to their (perhaps legitimate) fears of persecution by oppressive government bodies. Perhaps take a cut of the airdrops even.

We switched to Kendamil for formula. Kendamil poop smells just like Kendamil amplified in poop form. Then everything winds up smelling like poop to you. (And now we’re 75% on solids so I’d go back to all Kendamil happily.)
