I feel like video game music is grossly overlooked. Even the genre as a name does a disservice to the many styles it can take form in. Assassin's Creed series has some great scores by Sarah Schachner, Brian Tyler, Lorne Balf, and Jasper Kyd. Austin Wintory's work on "Journey" is amazing. Bear McCreary did amazing work on God of War. Videogame music has, much like film scores, greatly matured.
