If you’re using Vercel, are you using it only because you are building Next.js apps?

As someone who was very fresh to React + Next, I was tempted to do that because all the results for "how to deploy a React app" took me to using, among others, Vercel because of its maybe support. I wanted to try Orbiter, though, so I took the effort to find out how to build a distributable folder and upload that - but I'm not confident that everyone is going to go to the effort to bridge that gap.

When using React, generally, though I'll caveat that my history with React extends for all of seven days or so, now, so take my opinion as "someone just trying it out for the first time" than that of an experienced dev.

Do you mean when using Next.js or when using React generally?
