That's what I thought the social graph would encourage. A thousand client experiments with new incentives and engagement models to uncover something truly novel.

That's only because the monetary incentives aren't there yet. WC is small potatoes, once it becomes big, and outside capital sees an opportunity expect an explosion of clients to become a thing. Friendster, MySpace, Facebook, Tumblr, you need blood in the water to attract sharks. Can imagine how fast X would die if you could legitimately take your followers with you? The client explosion is coming, just not right now.

I literally just installed Wildcard, Lunchbreak (a sponsor of our show), and Session today on my phone. And Firefly a week or so ago. Am excited to see different takes on the portable social graph, as well as the user experience including notifications, the feed, and messaging
