yeah, the only real thing to interrogate here is whether a particular feature is actually confusing and needs to be fixed.. 

warpcast made a choice (that's a good thing!) and they need to see it out

i think it likely alienates newcomers, as default members are people who have been casting in channels for a long time... but maybe that's a good thing?

if someone really wants to be a channel member there are many *channels* to make that dream possible

though it may be awkward to ask, it is also awkward to moderate and remove members

Tbh I’m not at odds with the change, but I think there hasn’t been much on my timeline addressing who this change alienates

I see it anecdotally, but it’s not my place to out anyone with their private thoughts on this
