My mind goes towards stoicism.

Personally;

Acceptance, we are human and it’s normal to have chaos.
Don’t permeate the problem, have faith in what’s beyond yourself and let it pass. 

You are not your thoughts or emotions. I don’t think Marcus and Seneca didn’t have those thoughts I think they worked vigilantly to not let them win.
