Netflix co-founder Marc Randolph has made Tuesday date nights with his wife a non-negotiable priority, adding that “nothing has gotten in the way” for 30 years.

Many of my close friends have recently divorced, especially those who had completely separate lives: working in different industries, or where one partner didn’t work at all, didn’t share mutual friends, and eventually grew apart.

I continue to see more and more great examples of husband&wife teams. I think  working together is a great idea. Regular date nights and traveling at least once a year can help maintain a healthy relationship.

I really loved Clayton Christenson’s book, How Will You Measure Your Life, which had an important chapter on relationships.

I re-read that book once a year
