Brilliant... and instead of interest in dollars it's a stake in the investment. So people with no access to amazing startups can put up low interest loans to angel investors with alpha and they get equity in return

Great point. Has to be 12 mo or less with ~0% risk of default

Has to be pretty short term. Typical angel stage startup has 2 years or so of runway, so if youre funding them has to be reasonably quick.

(That said immediately after a raise it mostly just sits in the co bank account, paying payroll. So 12mo BNPL might be a win win, co gets slightly better terms.)

That’s true when we make capital more accessible in general. So perhaps there needs to be strict qualification for who is eligible to use this instrument

Mid, I think it will lead to more carelessness and less thought out decisions

As a founder I’ll take PNBL. Pay now, buy later. 

But maybe that’s what a SAFE is lol
