We think it should be easier to make and distribute new experiences on Farcaster.

Mod lets anyone create Mini-apps that bring games, onchain txs, livestreams, DAO tools, polls and other rich social experiences directly into Farcaster clients that support Mod.

can you explain a bit more of a use case that inspired you to build mod?

i can't wrap my mind around what this is / what it enables yet, and thought that maybe that could happen through a use case.

A difference is discord apps only work in discord, whereas Mod mini-apps will work in various clients, and be a protocol.

The other difference is discord apps are only installed in discord servers (similar to a Farcaster channel); Mod Mini-apps will also allow users to opt into them directly
