Farcaster Devs

feature idea: “pings” (tentative name)

i have never tapped that fire button. 

pings are endpoints that farcaster apps can speak to, to generate a targeted “different kind of notification” for the user that is pinged.

we wouldn’t have to tag users to notify them.

we can just ping them: hey, this happened.
