lots of organizations put together gift/toy drives around the holidays to help people who are less fortunate for example here in Seattle there are a ton being run right now: https://www.seattleschild.com/how-to-donate-to-holiday-toy-drives-around-seattle/ you buy a gift, drop it off with the organization, they make sure it goes to someone in need
