v also shared an accessible summary of snapchain; how they intend to scale farcaster over the next five years. if you want insight into where this web3 adventure is headed and how farcaster core approach scaling (not just spam), this is a must read. and if you ask about a token, I know you didn't read it đź¤

are you familiar with how storage works? the default for casts that you buy is around 2.5k it gets pruned FIFO. if you cast number 2501, number 1 is deleted all that to ask: do you care about your cast history being accessible on the protocol right now? I always think that this 2.5k could be less (which would make the protocol more efficient)

I have a lot of storage because I want my history onchain forever.

agree. I’ve put a lot of energy into my casts, and a big chunk of them is lost because i didn’t get more storage the q that I have is: is that storage equivalent to “it being onchain forever”? i don’t think so. and it is also expensive to be carrying all the baggage of your N storage units for every hub so maybe there could be a system for you to “mint” your M previous casts and that being a separate memory space than the one that we use to build real-time farcaster clients like this thing from the movie soul https://media.tenor.com/BU5LjuSJCV4AAAAC/soul-terry

agree. it's still vulnerable. so download my history, more or less. save it elsewhere. hm. I would pay for that, too.
