don't do this at home

users of farcaster can change their username. and if their identifier on your backend is their handle, when they change it, it will break things

use the fid. that's the only immutable piece of information that a given user of farcaster has

you are not "chanzy10". you are FID #424658

they are unique, but not persistent

if i want to store you on my database to reference yourself later, your FID won't change, but your username COULD. that's why it is important to use the FID and not the username (on our backends)

Hmm, I still don't understand.
As far as I know, we can change the parameters at will, once we know the URL used.
So what's the difference between using a username and FID? Aren't those two things unique here?
