I'm a Giordano's fan for mail order but these are pretty tasty. Come to Pittsburgh and I'm happy to throw a deep dish party

predicted an American pope (0% chance on Polymarket) that would take the name Leo XIV (most people expected Francis II or maybe Paul VII or another new name)

I'm not terribly hopeful things will improve here but in light of subsequent mishandled cases (see a lot of other reporting by the Pillar) I think it's more likely others in Rome or Francis himself were mishandling or outright covering up these, so there's a chance Prevost was trying to do the right thing.

Random Trump supporter called it 6 months ago... what? I guess it's just an example of how much content there is on the internet? https://x.com/Catholicizm1/status/1854248663557550149

When Francis became pope I bought an Argentinian Malbec for a dinner party that evening. I'm definitely not getting a Chicago wine this time around - maybe a goose island beer?

Cardinal Prevost chose the name Pope Leo XIV. He's notable as the first american pope, though he's spent most of his life outside America. Not much is known about his opinions on hot-button issues in the church, but the name choice is remarkable because it would seem to indicate a more traditional perspective.

Consumer startups need traction to raise an A in this environment. So, as much as the all in guys grind my gears, the trumpet they've been sounding for a year now about the need for startups to be default alive is really true.

Lets put people first. Yea you can make money on Farcaster but the real value on here today are the people. Get someone in, have them connect with 5-10 people here, and maybe they'll stick around long enough to see money hit their wallet. No leaving after that.

Can we not notify for airdropping testnet tokens for the latest VC chain du jour? Who wants that? If you do want that, you probably don't need a notification.

One of my favorite symphony memories is seeing Rostropovich play Shostakovich at the Seattle symphony a year or two before he passed.
