My daughter is six weeks now and I feel like we’ve gotten a pretty good handle on the day-to-day stuff. I have another three months of parental leave. What advice or recommendations does parentcaster have for this unique period of time? Any regrets? https://i.imgur.com/hDitOWM.jpg

Enjoy the times that are enjoyable, and take comfort that the times that are hard won't last forever. Babies can change so quickly at this age so it's great to just enjoy each moment for what it is! This is the easiest age to travel at for a few years, so if you want to visit family or take a trip, do it!

We were actively avoiding complicated travel (e.g. involving planes) at this stage. Do you think we’re overestimating the challenge or do you mean car-based travel?

It's definitely a challenge, but it's much more of a challenge when your child wants to crawl or walk around but isn't old enough to understand why they can't. In my experience, long car travel at this age is worse since you can't hold the baby while driving.

Oh true - may have to rethink our approach a little there then. Thanks!
