There have been some creative execs that have achieved at the highest level who have tried to help Nouns but the DAO refuses to really listen. ⌐◨-◨ makes you smile. This is/was a once in generation opportunity to build an IP legend and we fluffed it. It’s not too late but unless the community actually embraces art and artists it will never reach its full potential. Everything else about the experiment is great and fun but ultimately not that unique or interesting. People don’t care about treasury mgmt or onchain governance (at scale) like they do fun characters that bring them joy. If you nail the IP the rest flows.

I’d say more refused to pay, rather than refused to listen. I’m not convinced those creative execs saw Nouns as a legendary IP, maybe some did, but it’s hard to tell if it was that or just an easy pay check at the end of the day. If I’m wrong, you’d think more of the artists and media execs we’ve funded huge amounts of eth would still be around.... 🤷♂️

Can you give some examples? Also, to be fair I’d say Agora is one of Nouns top success stories - starting from a Prop House round to an Onchain proposal now a multi million dollar company…. So I’d say Onchain governance deff has its niche…. Also if we don’t become interested in treasury management the treasury will continue to evaporate into thin air. 😩

We need actual legitimate and trustworthy brand ambassadors with proven track record in the creative space, so far a lot of the dao energy and money went into funding and elevating bullshit artists, predatory opportunists shitcoin jockeys and people that put in props , got a lot of money but could not deliver anything. we need to do better with basic infrastructure before we can invite another David Horvath here or more importantly retain our best and brightest
