Here’s a good example of unnecessarily negative. There’s valid feedback here—you’re not doing a good enough job highlighting all of the developers in the ecosystem / perception of picking favorites—without resorting to a bunch of drivel. You wouldn’t speak like this to someone you’ve never met in-person, so why do it on the internet?

They will accuse you of playing favorites but will ignore your taste, instincts and experience at picking winners. Builders, assume there are reasons your solution or idea isn’t being used and it’s not cause someone “doesn’t like you enough” and that it is not anyone else’s responsibility to provide feedback or explain what it might be.
