While I agree with your original take about tokens capturing social/cultural values, I don’t see why a xx m/bn mcap memecoin is a good example. speculating on attention might be a social/cultural value in itself but that does not make it superior to traditional business models in my view

yea still a lot to figure out around how to build sustainable business models around tokens, but do think it highlights how inefficient just selling ads or goods is at capturing the social / cultural value that exists around brands / products like do you think the real value of a sports team is captured through ticket / jersey sales and licensing deals? i don't think it comes anywhere close
