Making all content coin-able isn’t how to achieve this though, imo. Its making everything happen on a single chain and paying out on a small basket of MoE’s (say, USDC, CBBTC, ETH on base). Monetary economics suggests that, if lots of tradable assets -> information problems as to what “value” is. Instead, people will tend towards using a commonly accepted medium, as thats the best way to describe the value being created in a language everyone understands. What we need then, imo, is a better system for tracking value, not more coins.

Need to create a model that makes the payout feel passive. This is what BMI/ASCAP does for musicians. Because my music is registered, I just get an occasional bank deposit. Could’ve been from radio, performed in public somewhere, or a royalty from the one time we had our music used on a lifetime movie. I know not the source, just that I made art and got compensated. Once using onchain tools feels *that* easy, we’re golden.

This is the final video I recorded demo’ing the Qi the week we received it. Since filming these videos, this pedal has become an instrumental part of my writing process. I’ve found myself reaching for it in so many situations when writing new Blank Slate. Huge shoutout to Walrus Audio and Yvette Young for the hookup. An inspirational tool that I’ll be using forever.
