Really loved this side-by-side bringing together old and new, black and white, jewish and baptist. Yet a story is told, on a relationship and shared view on racism in America. Trenton Doyle Hancock and Philip Guston at The Jewish Museum π€ p.s. 'Schlep and Screw' is a great phrase lol

"'Draw Them In, Paint Them Out' presents the work of painter Philip Guston (American, b. Canada 1913β1980), the child of Jewish immigrants from Odessa (present-day Ukraine), and Trenton Doyle Hancock (American, b. 1974), a leading Black contemporary artist based in Houston, Texas, in dialogue for the first time. It explores resonant connections between their work and the role that artists play in the pursuit of social justice."
