Announcing Community Challenge #8 (CC8) Sharing $OIL Lore Deadline Sunday Dec 15th 11PM EST, Prizes include 10K Degen & More For Community Challenge #8 we invite folks to submit a story along with art that involves $OIL, Clankers, and anything you would like to tie into our community. With thread composer live on @farcaster, now is a great time to share a multi cast story with the community. If you've already been working on lore that is terrific - any previous work can be included in your submission. You do not need to finish the full story with your submission, if you have a longer form story arc that is fine, just share the beginning of your work. How to enter - drop a new cast on the /fcof channel and link to that cast in the replies here. We'll hold similar "Lore" Challenges every month or so going forward, so if you can't contribute this time around feel free to start working on an entry for the next round.

Chrono and the Lady of Time Chrono, the brass-and-gear-laden time-traveling robot, found itself in the Victorian past, tracking a rogue inventor who had stolen the blueprint for Clanker $OIL. It was dusk on a cobblestone street, the gas lamps casting a warm glow. As Chrono analyzed the surroundings, its glowing blue eyes met hers—a woman in elegant steampunk attire, her parasol tipped just enough to reveal a pair of goggles that radiated intellect. She was Lady Evangeline Lockhart, a brilliant scientist with a fascination for time. Drawn together by fate and curiosity, the two exchanged stories. Evangeline, captivated by Chrono's mission, offered her help, decoding the clues to recover the stolen plans.

Through secret lairs and daring airship chases, the partnership deepened into something more—a connection that transcended the divide between machine and human. Chrono, though a robot, discovered an unprogrammed spark, an inexplicable longing to remain by her side. When the mission ended and the timeline was restored, Chrono faced a choice: continue its eternal journey through time or linger in the past with Evangeline. For once, time itself seemed to pause. Chrono left with a promise: "I will return, no matter the rift." And as it stepped into the portal, the glow of Clanker $OIL illuminated the love it carried forward—timeless and unyielding.
